Privacy Policy for Easy To Live

This Privacy Policy explains how EASY TO LIVE LLP ("Easy To Live", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Easy To Live mobile app for Android (package com.livetoeasy) and the website easytolive.in (together, the "Services").

Easy To Live is a rental platform where tenants find and book verified rental properties, and property owners and partners list and manage them.

We collect only what we need to run the Services:

• Account and contact details: your name, mobile number, email address, account type (tenant, owner or partner) and profile photo. Your mobile number is verified with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. On Android, the app can offer your phone's numbers through Google's Phone Number Hint so you do not have to type one; a number is shared with the app only if you tap it.
• Password: the password you set is handled by Firebase Authentication and stored only in hashed form. We never see or store your password ourselves.
• Identity verification (KYC) documents: when you choose to verify your identity, we collect your Aadhaar number and images of the front and back of your Aadhaar card, your PAN number and an image of your PAN card, and other documents we ask for during verification, such as a bank statement.
• Property listings (owners and partners): property address and map location, photos, videos, rent, amenities and ownership documents.
• Bookings and rentals: the properties you book, move-in dates, rental agreements, documents you upload during a booking, rent and payment history, and invoices.
• Payments: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment reference, amount and status. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login details.
• Location: if you allow it, we use your device's precise or approximate location while you are using the app to show properties near you and fill in your area. We do not collect location in the background. Location is saved to your profile or listing only when you choose to save an address.
• Photos, videos and files: only the specific items you pick with the Android photo picker or file picker (for example a profile photo, property photos, KYC documents or support attachments). The app does not access the rest of your gallery or files, and does not use your camera or microphone.
• Support requests: the messages and attachments you send us through support tickets, email or phone.
• Device and usage information: device model, Android version, app version, crash reports, performance data, basic app usage events and a push-notification token. Crash and error reports include your account ID and role so we can fix problems affecting your account. We do not use the Android advertising ID.

The app does not request permission to read or receive your SMS messages.

To save you from typing the login code, the Android app uses Google's SMS User Consent API. When a verification SMS arrives, Android shows you that single message and asks whether to share it with Easy To Live. Only if you tap Allow does the app read that one message, and it uses it only to fill in the code. We never access your other messages, and we do not store SMS content.

We use your information to:

• create your account, verify your mobile number and keep your account secure;
• show you rental properties, including properties near your location;
• process bookings, rental agreements, rent payments, refunds and owner payouts;
• verify the identity of tenants, owners and partners, and prevent fraud;
• send you booking, payment, verification and account notifications;
• answer your support requests;
• find and fix crashes and improve the performance of the app;
• meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations in India.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising.

We share personal data only in these cases:

• With the other side of a booking: when a tenant books a property, we share the tenant's name, contact details and booking details with the property owner or partner, and the owner's or partner's name and contact details with the tenant.
• With authorised Easy To Live staff, who review KYC documents, listings and bookings, and handle support.
• With service providers that run the Services for us, only as needed for their service:
  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): sign-in and OTP verification, database, push notifications, crash reporting, performance monitoring and app analytics;
  • Supabase: secure storage of photos, videos and documents;
  • Razorpay: payment processing;
  • Our email service provider: delivering booking and account emails to you;
  • Google Maps Platform: maps, place search and converting your location into an address;
  • OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): converting a location into an address when Google Maps is unavailable.
• For legal reasons: when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Easy To Live.
• Business transfers: if Easy To Live is merged or acquired, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, under this policy.

Property photos and videos, listing details and profile photos are shown to other users of the Services. KYC documents, rental agreements, booking documents and support attachments are kept private and are visible only to you and authorised Easy To Live staff.

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to our database is limited by security rules so that each user can reach only their own records. KYC documents, agreements and other private files are stored in restricted storage that is not publicly accessible. Staff access to personal data is limited to the people who need it for their work. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and personal data at any time:

• in the app: Profile → Delete account;
• on the web: easytolive.in/account-deletion; or, to delete some of your data without closing your account, easytolive.in/data-deletion;
• by email to info@easytolive.in.

After we verify the request, your data is deleted from our active systems, and remaining copies in backups are cleared within 30 days. We keep payment invoices, signed rental agreements and other records only for as long as Indian tax and financial laws require.

You can:

• see and correct your profile details in the app at any time;
• ask us for a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct or delete it;
• turn off location or notification access at any time in your phone's settings. The app keeps working, but it cannot show nearby properties or send you alerts;
• withdraw your consent where we rely on it, by contacting us.

We reply to requests within 30 days.

The Services are meant for adults who can enter into rental agreements. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your data in an important way, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
